East Setauket, NY, August 29 - TRITEC Building Company, Inc.
has been working with Five Towns College providing Construction Management services
for 96,000 square feet of dormitories on 33.6 acres.
The multi-phased project consisted of the construction of four separate dormitories each 24,000 square feet in size to house a total of 208 students. The final dormitory, Melody Hall has been completed right on time for the start of the fall semester.
The project involved the ground up construction of four multi-story wood framed and masonry buildings which were set into the residential landscape of Dix Hills. The buildings contain a tv lounges to help foster a sense of community, and there are plans for a media center, sound studio, and classrooms to be added to the facilities. TRITEC was brought on board to work with The Baldassano Architectural Group, at 75% drawings, and maintained the budget through value engineering and design control.
