East Setauket, NY, August 23 - Sometimes a projects most difficult
obstacle is getting it started. When purchasing a quality motor vehicle, you
rely heavily on the sales representative to provide you with the best product
and service to fit your needs. It should not be any different when embarking
on a construction project.
When Frank Dellaquila, Owner of Hassel BMW in Freeport, N.Y.,
recognized the need to have a service center of the same caliber as the product
he sells, he found TRITEC Building Company, a construction company with the
caliber of service to turn his vision into a reality. Frank entrusted the begining
phases of his project to the expertise of our Preconstruction Services Staff
lead by Vice President Martin DePasquale to get the project started. After a
year and a half of starts and stops, Hassel BMW will finally have a new services
center and two new showrooms. According to Ken Abrami, Construction Executive for TRITEC, Hassels entire project
will be completed this October.
The main component of the Hassel project is the BMW service
center at 100 Cleveland Avenue in Freeport. The existing manufacturing distribution
center is approximately 60,000 s.f., and is being renovated to a service centers
to support the BMW dealerships also located in Freeport. TRITEC added a mezzanine
by splitting the existing warehouse area, with 35 foot ceilings, in half. This
provided the Owner with a first floor service area and a mezzanine area for
storage of vehicles awaiting service. The service center is nearly complete
and will begin operating for business September 6, 2005.
The BMW Dealership is the second component of the three site
project. TRITEC is removing the Service area from the dealership and converting
it to Sales / Showroom. The exterior refacing and renovations of the building
will bring the facilities in compliance with BMW corporate standards.
The MINI Dealership is the final site to be renovated, and
includes an exterior facade refacing and restoration.
